You On Your Own! - Not any more!

A social group aimed at (but not exclusively) people on their own. We get together regularly and take part in a wide variety of activities suggested by members: a boat trip along Avon Gorge, lunch and visit to Clevedon pier, theatre trips, National Trust, Bath, Bristol, museums, walking etc. We attend local events such as the Arts Festival, concerts, choirs and so on.

Our main YOYO meeting is held on the second Wednesday of each month at Thornbury Methodist Church Hall between 2pm and 3:45pm. We have interesting talks and contributions from members. We ask for an Annual subscription £3 and a monthly of contribution of £2 to pay for hall hire and refreshments etc.

We also have our friendly drop-ins twice weekly. On Saturday mornings we meet at Hawkes House for coffee 10am-12noon. We reserve the long table on the right as you enter the main entrance. There’s also Coffee #1 on Wednesday afternoon between 2 and 4pm. You are welcome to drop in and stay as long as you wish at either or both. We currently have a regular skittles afternoon at The Wheatsheaf.
