This is a small group that meets on the 3^rd Wednesday of the month from 2.00pm to 4.00pm in the lounge of Alexandra Lodge (Castle Street, Thornbury). Topics discussed are varied and currently include: our favourite poems;  what makes something a poem;   nature poems; an unfamiliar poet, Charlotte Mew; sonnets, traditional and otherwise; personification in  poetry; nostalgia, memory and loss; war poetry; and humorous poetry.
