WD40 is an informal, intermediate level, French language group assisted by a competent and knowledgeable French speaker.

The group meets, via Zoom, at 10am on the first and third Tuesday of each month for 2 hours. Our sessions consist of two roughly equal parts with a short break at 11 o'clock.

We focus on improving our level of French through a variety of comprehension, pronunciation and conversation exercises, with excursions into grammar and more specialized vocabulary as appropriate. Our abilities vary; our current membership ranging from those who made it to ‘O’ level to those with a degree in French. But we all help each other.

To cover the Zoom subscription we typically pay £12 per ‘term’. Ultimately, the cost depends on the size of the group. In addition, members need to subscribe to the “Rendez-vous” magazine at an annual cost of about £35.

Currently we have vacancies for one or two extra members. Given the constraints of Zoom, it would be ideal if they shared the one terminal but even if you will be on your own, don't let that discourage you.
