Following an all Tu3a members' invitation, 52 people expressed an interest in AI.  During an introductory meeting given by Yate & Chipping Sodbury's AI Group Leader, many Thornbury members expressed an interest in joining the new group.

An initial sequence of 6 learning and discussion sessions has been put in place, running in November & December 2024; these being delivered with the kind assistance of Yate & Chipping Sodbury U3A. This will accommodate some 20 people. This leaves another 50 people who wish to be kept in touch about future sessions. This course of six sessions will look at AI capabilities, evolution of AI, tools, ethics, and more, with discussions, visiting speakers, workshops, etc.
