Dear Thornbury u3a members
Please allow me to give an advance invitation to our AGM. This will again be held in St. Mary’s Church on Monday 10th February next year. The west end of the church has had a recent renovation, so we look forward to improved facilities. I’ll contact you again nearer the time, with further details.
At that AGM several members of our committee must stand down. This is required by our constitution. We would like to welcome new people to share the load and exercise their talents for our successful u3a. 
We do not just have ‘big name’ jobs – Chair, Treasurer, etc. We also have vacancies for up to four ‘ordinary’ members. Having no specific roles, these members can take on one-off, or semi-permanent, tasks as they feel able. It is an ideal way to see if being a committee member suits you. 
Please give this serious thought. If you think that you could take this on, please let me know, and I will give you more details.
